Delivering for Chester, Deep River, Essex & Haddam

  • Increased state education and special education funding for local schools

  • Secured state grants for roads, bridges, sidewalks, and public infrastructure

  • Delivered state grant funding for farms, volunteer fire departments, youth services, and the arts

  • Helped expand protected open space and preserve local natural resources.

Strengthening Schools

  • Secured historic investments in special education and additional funding for local school budgets

  • Expanded access to childcare and early childhood education

  • Promoted civic engagement and responsible technology use in schools

Lowering Costs for Families

  • Supported a refundable $250 tax credit for working families

  • Passed legislation to reduce electric bills and modernize Connecticut's electric grid

  • Expanded affordable childcare and Pre-K, with a path to

  • Universal Pre-K by 2032

  • Protected healthcare coverage for more than 900,000 Connecticut residents

  • Fought to protect healthcare, food assistance, childcare, housing, education, and services for seniors and veterans when federal funding was cut

Protecting Our Environment

  • Led efforts to combat hydrilla and other invasive species threatening our waterways

  • Improved coordination with DEEP and local communities for faster environmental response

  • Supported clean energy, climate resilience, open space preservation, and green jobs

  • Helped secure funding to protect Connecticut's natural resources

Keeping Communities Safe

  • Helped secure a new resident state trooper for Deep River

  • Supported efforts to combat gun violence, human trafficking, and domestic violence

  • Advanced police training, accountability, and public safety initiatives

  • Supported Artificial Intelligence reforms that protect children 

  • Improved healthcare for incarcerated persons and improved safety for correctional staff and incarcerated persons

Expanding Housing Opportunities

  • Increased housing affordability and availability

  • Cut red tape to help build more homes

  • Expanded support for affordable housing and homelessness services
